The meaning of Ratchet Revival: Most people are familiar with the derogatory word for ratchet - an American slang term that derived from wretched and even a possible expletive term - but many forget of the lyrics from the famous hymn “Amazing Grace” that says, “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me….” Not only have we created a revival for the wretched (or “ratchet”) that does not compromise the atmosphere of worship, but we have taken the less common meaning of ratchet to present a revival to those who are looking to be fixed by a “ratchet.”
